You may either bid from a personal computer or from a mobile phone via SMS (soon to be available). When bidding from a computer, just log on to the website, enter your username and password, and offer bid on the item you are interested in.

Steps (online bidding):
Once you have chosen an item of interest, it is easy to Bid. All you have to do is follow these easy steps:

1. Register
   Before you can bid, you will need to register as a member first. To register, click here.
2. Sign - In
   You will need to Sign-in as a registered member by entering your Username and Password in the Sign-in space provided then click the “Sign - In ” button. To sign-in, click here.
3. Item Title/Description
   Go to the Item of your choice and click on the Item Name/Description.
4. “Bid Now”
   Carefully look on the item and bid details. Click on the “Bid Now” icon. Place your maximum bid on the space provided then click on the “Bid Now ” button.
   

   

   For an item with a starting bid of PHP55.00, the bid increment is PHP5.00. Below is the bid increment schedule:

There are a few tips that you need to know before placing your bid.  They are as follows:

1. Do not bid on identical listings if you only intend to buy one item.  If you bid on both, you will be obliged to purchase both if you are declared the winner of said listings.
2. Be careful on the bid amount that you enter. Avoid typographical errors, otherwise, you will have to retract your bid and replace it with the intended amount that you have in mind.
3. Use My Auction to monitor and watch your bids. In this way, you are reminded of closing dates of auctions you have participated in and stay in the bidding process and avoid being outbid.

Your bid should be higher than the current bid of another member. Bidding increments, based on the item’s starting price, are as follows:

The process for bidding is basically the same. 'Buy Now' is an option wherein a price value is optionally set by seller which allows buyers to purchase the item at that particular value. However, the auction is automatically closed when the 'Buy Now' price has been reached and whenever a buyer decides to purchase that item at that price, without allowing the bid duration to end.

Yes, you may bid anytime, anyplace, from a desktop, laptop, even from a cellphone (soon to be available).

As a registered member of Auction.ph, you will be provided with your own personal page which you could use to track your bids. You may click on My Auction > All Buying > Bidding to view and monitor the items you have placed your bid on.

You have been outbid when another buyer has placed a higher bid than yours, and you are no longer the current highest bidder.

When you get outbid on a listing, you will be notified through e-mail.  A link will be provided in the email so you can go back to the item listing and place another bid to let you stay in the bidding process, that is, if you are still interested with the item.  Also, you may be alerted through SMS if you subscribed to the said service.

An item posted under Auction with multiple quantities may be bid by different members, and the bidding process is slightly different as to when quantity = 1.  The bidding process starts when a member places his bid amount (following the bid increment) and bid quantity.  The bid may then be retained to the current highest bid, provided that the available quantity is still sufficient to accommodate their bids.  In the event that available quantity runs out, the next bidder should outbid the lowest bidder accommodated by the available quantity.  This process continues until the bidding duration ends and final winning bidders are declared.  On the other hand, if listing has a ‘Buy Now’ feature, the quantity bought through ‘Buy Now’ will be deducted from the available quantity.  To illustrate:

Quantity:  10
Starting Price:  Php 500.00
Bid Increment:  Php 5.00
Buy Now Price:  Php 600.00
Duration:  3 days

To bid with a Multiple Item Listing, follow these simple steps:

1. Register
   Before you can bid, you will need to register first to become a certified member.
2. Sign-in
   You will need to Sign-in as a registered member by entering your Username and Password in the spaces provided then click the “Sign-in” button.
3. Item Image or Name
   Go to the Item of your choice and click on the Item Image or Name.
4. “Bid Now”
   Carefully look on the item and bid details. Enter the quantity you wish to bid on and the bid amount (following rules on bidding for multiple items) and click on the “Bid Now”.  Below is the bid increment schedule:

You will receive a confirmation email from Auction.ph stating that you have won the bidding. Also, included in the e-mail are the various options for remitting payment for the item.

You must then pay for the price of the item you have won, plus other applicable charges within seven (7) days upon being delared the winner.

To pay for the item go to My Auction > All Buying > Buy - Escrow and then click on Pay.

A bid or a purchase made through any of the buying formats of Auction.ph is considered a contract and is binding; therefore, you have to complete the transaction. However, there are instances where backing out of a transaction may be allowed, through proper communication with the seller using the facilities provided by Auction.ph in its website. Also, you can click "Decline" by going to My Auction > All Buying > Buy-Escrow. You will be asked to state the reason for cancellation. If the seller does not respond to the way you hoped he would, backing out of the transaction will cause you a negative feedback, a penalty(warning, suspension or termination of the account) and an unpaid item strike which will affect your feedback ratings.
