To find items by browsing categories:

1. At Auction.ph's homepage, click on any major category that interests you. The list of items posted under that particular category will be displayed. The items are arranged by duration of posting period. The first items on the list are items which are near its posting end period.

   

2. Click on the image or name of the item that interests you. The item detail page will be displayed. You can place a bid (if posted in Auction), join buying (for Cooperative Buying), or buy the item outright in Shopping, Bargains, or by using the BUY NOW option.

   

Browse listings when you do not have any specific item on your mind, when you are not exactly sure on what you are looking for, or when you just want to look into the variety of items on Auction.ph.

For your bidding and shopping convenience, Auction.ph provided you with a 'Watch List' feature. This feature allows you to choose and list items that you are interested in during your sessions in the site. Instead of browsing or searching for items repeatedly, this feature gives you quick access as they are saved in 'My Aucton - All Buying'. This also allows you to bid or buy the items anytime as long as their listings have not expired or a winning bidder has not been declared.

To watch items, follow these easy steps:

1. Search or Browse for an item you like.
2. Click on the image of the item. If you like this particular item, you can watch it by clicking "Add to Watch List". Each item page has this button to make your bidding and shopping hassle-free.

   

3. After selecting an item to be watched, you can view the list by opening your My Auction > Buying.

   

Items which have ended or have been sold to other members will stay in the list. In case you do not wish to watch an item anymore or if you want to remove the item from the list, mark the box corresponding to that item and then click 'Delete'.

Great buys are not hard to find in Auction.ph. All you need to do is use Quick Search feature found on the header of the site. You may search by keyword, post number or seller. Based on your selection for search, type-in the details and click ‘Search’ button. Results of the search will then be displayed and if you find what you are looking for, click on the item image or name to view full item details. Otherwise, search again using a different method.

Here are some Search Tips you could use to find what you are looking for:

1. Try a variety of search words.
   There could be a lot of words to describe an item but try to use the words a seller might use to describe it. You may try different combinations but use only two to three words at a time to get the best results.
2. Be specific
   Use specific terms when searching for an item.Avoid using general descriptions to narrow down your search. For example, cellphone accessories will give a fewer but more targeted search result than merely cellphones. Also, you may specify a brand, color, or model to give you an even more targeted listing.
3. Use the words “and, or, the” properly
   Auction system searches for the words “and, or, the” just like any other word.  Thus make sure you only use them if the item you are searching for contains the following words such as: Guns and Roses, Beauty and the Beast, etc.
4. Try adding/removing the “s” for better results
   Removing/adding the letter “s” in your search word(s)/phrase(s) may give a different result from the previous.  Example, the key word keychain may give a different result when you use key chains.
5. Avoid using punctuations
   Do not use punctuations in your key words except when you expect the title or item description to contain one. Example: Joop!, Guess?, and Mrs. Fields.
6. Browse for an Item
   You may use the Browser located on the right side of the page to search for items on a per category basis or click through the categories listed on the left side of the page.  This is most helpful if you are not searching for something specific.
7. Searching for specific phrase in an item description
   Sometimes you may only want to limit your search to a specific phrase in an item description, simply enclose your search terms in quotation marks. Example: “limited edition”, song titles in an album such as “Jenny from the Block”.
